Komel has been a leader in the auto industry since 1990. However, their digital presence needed to reflect their dual nature: they are a retailer (selling bulbs, audio, alarms) and a service center (installing them).
Our mission was to build a site where these two worlds meet. A customer shouldn’t just “buy a car alarm”—they should be guided to buy the right alarm and book an appointment to have it installed by professionals in Vogošća.
Auto parts e-commerce is notoriously difficult due to compatibility issues.
The “SKU Chaos”: With thousands of small items (connectors, adapters, LED bulbs), the risk of a cluttered, unusable interface was high.
Service Disconnect: Most webshops sell the part and say “Good luck.” Komel needed to capture the installation revenue too, which meant the booking system had to be front-and-center, not hidden.
Trust Factor: Selling security systems (like Cobra & Starline) requires high trust. The site needed to look like an authorized industry leader, not a drop-shipping store.
We engineered a custom WooCommerce environment tailored for the auto industry.
Smart Categorization: We reorganized the 2,000+ product catalog into intuitive “Usage Categories” (e.g., Security, Multimedia, Lighting) rather than technical part numbers, helping non-experts find what they need.
Service Integration: On high-ticket items like Alarms and GPS, we implemented “Installation” calls-to-action that guide users to the contact/booking flow instead of just a generic checkout.
Mobile-First Shop: Knowing that many drivers search for parts while standing next to their broken car, we optimized the mobile search experience to be lightning-fast.

Increased Foot Traffic: The “Buy Online, Pick Up/Install in Shop” strategy has driven more local customers to the Vogošća location.
Higher Average Order Value: By cross-selling accessories (e.g., suggesting cables with speakers), the online basket size has increased.
Automated Inquiries: The “Quick Inquiry” forms on complex products have reduced phone support time, delivering qualified leads directly to the sales team.
